A Simple & Thoughtful Homemade Gift
Updated: Aug 21, 2019
There is always something magical about a homemade present or card, no matter the occasion. There doesn't even need to be an occasion to easily make someone's day or week!
As some of you may know, I love arts & crafts. I love designing and making things so much that I want to transform my dining room into a craft room, but unfortunately, my mum has vetoed this (awesome) idea. With or without a craft room available, you do not need a lot of materials or money to master the perfect homemade gift.
When I was deciding what to send as a thank-you present, I immediately decided to incorporate pictures that we took from our time together and put them in frames.
I have a little place in my heart for pictures physically in my hand rather than in my iphone camera roll.
To easily print out pictures, download the CVS or Walgreens photo app, select the pictures you want printed and then BOOM!! You only need to wait appx 1 hour before they're ready! This quick & easy way to print pictures has been such a lifesaver, as I am always printing out pictures, whether it be for the walls in my dorm room, the scrapbooks I make or just because!!! For less than 5 dollars, you can print out two 5x7 photos.......and I had recently bought two gold-tinted picture frames, so I didn't need to go out and search for some!
&&& wrapping your gift! I suggest heading to your nearest AC Moore or Michaels because you will always find something to make your gift more special at these stores. Because I am obsessed with the rustic look of things, I tend to gravitate towards burlap & twine. Regardless of your likes, you can find anything you want in these stores, from scrapbooking supplies to chocolate wafers for your holiday desserts.
For less than 25 dollars, you can create the most simple yet thoughtful gift for a loved one or friend. I can assure you that whomever you give your gift to will treasure it forever, like I do when I receive a handwritten card or craft from someone.
REMEMBER: a little love & thoughtfulness goes a long way!
